A message from the Dominion and Area Recreational Society
It is with great excitement that we embark on the 28th Annual Seaside Daze Festival, a week-long event that has become the highlight for the community of Dominion each and every year. We would like extend our appreciation to all those who have helped make our festival a success, both this year and throughout the last 27 years. We applaud the non-profit organizations and businesses in the community for their dedication to this project. It would be impossible to create such a large scale festival without the continued commitment of these groups.
We extend special
thanks to MP Rodger Cuzner, MLA Frank Corbett, and Councilor Darren
Bruckschwaiger. Finally, to the residents of Dominion and surrounding areas,
we thank you for coming out and participating in this festival year in and
year out. The pride and
enthusiasm that the community boasts for Seaside Daze is at the heart of its
success and we look forward continuing this tradition for many years to
come.
DOMINION PHOTO CONTEST! Calling all Shutterbugs! We are looking for some extra special pictures of Dominion. Categories include Dominion Scenery, People, and Animals in Dominion. Amateur photographers aged 12 and under, 18 and under, and adults will be recognized in each of the categories. The deadline for entries is July 28 and can be entered via email at info@seasidedaze.com. For complete details contact the Seaside Daze Headquarters at 842-2973. - DIGITAL PHOTO INSTRUCTIONAL WORKSHOP The workshop will run July 8, July 15 and July 22 at the Italian Hall each evening from 7pm until 9pm. The fee is $40 per person with all proceeds being donated to the Coastal Arts Initiative Project. Seating is limited. Instruction by photographer Scott Moore.
